Category 1 Licence
Once player verification has been completed, the player can be offered activities from either a Category 2 licensed platform in Alderney or any other platform licensed by a competent authority. Operators are free to build up with own portfolio of games and activities.
Fees
Fees are calculated on Net Gaming Yield (NGY). For the first year introductory fee of £17,500 applies. Thereafter, £35,000 per annum up to £500k NGY. A banded fee structure then applies up to £30m NGY. Maximum fee of £400,000 (all activities included.)

Category 1 Associate Certificate (Outside of Alderney)
This is the foreign based equivalent of the Category 1 Licence and is suitable for businesses based outside of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. There is no requirement to apply through an Alderney company or host your gambling equipment in the Bailiwick.
Fees
Fees are banded according to NGY as with a Category 1 Licence, but an introductory flat fee of £35,000 is charged for the first year. Thereafter, £50,000 per annum and a banded fee structure which applies up to £30m NGY. Maximum fee of £450,000 (all activities included.

Category 2 Licence
Any number and type of gambling activity can be approved onto a single Category 2 Licence. Alderney has the widest definition of gambling and gaming and can approve all activities.

Core Services Associate Certificate (CSAC)
A CSAC is required if an operator wishes to provide third party services (gambling software, player fund deposit, company management) to an Alderney licensee.

The fee for a CSAC is £10,000 per year.
